Description
The Amarone della Valpolicella di Roccolo Grassi originates from the homonymous vineyard, located in the heart of Valpolicella.
It is made from a skilful blend of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Croatina grapes, harvested manually and left to dry naturally to concentrate the sugars and aromatic substances present in the grapes. After a traditional vinification in steel, the wine is transferred to wood where it undergoes malolactic fermentation, after which it ages in barriques for at least 26 months, followed by another 24 months of aging in bottle.
It is characterized by a deep ruby red color. The nose offers an elegant and expressive bouquet, where the fruity notes of black cherry, plum and plum alternate with the spicy ones of black pepper and chocolate. Robust on the palate, it proves to be incredibly wide and balanced.
Perfect to accompany important red meat dishes, it offers the best of itself paired with game dishes.
