Description
Ilatium Morini's Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva Due Mori was born in the Illasi valley, in the province of Verona. The company is based in Mezzane di Sotto.
It is made up of the classic blend of the area: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Croatina. The grapes are destemmed and crushed, to then be vinified with cold maceration and fermentation for 10-15 days, with frequent pumping over. The wine ages in French and American oak barrels of different sizes for about 42 months.
Dark ruby red in colour, the nose is intense and complex, with aromas of cherry, black cherry and ripe blueberries, enriched by spicy hints of vanilla and cinnamon. The sip is warm and soft, with elegant tannins and a persistent finish.
Excellent in combination with important dishes based on red meat and game.
