Description

A name that evokes the marly soil on which the vines grow and already expresses the burst of this label alone, is a wine that comes from grapes harvested in various vineyards located on the gentle slopes of the Valpolicella, between Mezzane and Tregnago, at an exhibition from southwest to southeast of 180 degrees.

The different origin of the grapes, as well as the elaborate blend of 35% Corvina, 35% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 10% Rossignola, Oseleta, Negrara and Dindarella, ensure the achievement of a wine with a balanced body, with a good structure, extremely autochthonous and territorial. The harvest takes place between the end of September and the first days of October, after which the Appassimento of the bunches in the fruit trees, laid on the appropriate arele, then there is a soft pressing of the grapes and maceration at controlled temperatures. It ages in Slavonian oak barrels for 30 months, after which it is assembled and refined in the bottle for a further 6 months.

Warms the glass with an intense ruby red color and reflections that tend to amber, with a clean and transparent profile. It intoxicates the nose with notes of vanilla acquired from the aging in cask, while vigorous notes of sweet fruit such as currant, blueberry and cherry emerge, typical of the grape variety. The palate is literally enveloped by a round taste and a sensation of warmth that accompanies the sip towards a long and persistent finish.

It is the ideal wine to forget a little in the cellar and to accompany grilled red meats.
