Description

Bertani's Amarone della Valpolicella Classico was born in the vineyards of the Villa Novare estate, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica, in vineyards dedicated only to grapes for drying.

It is produced with Rondinella and Corvina Veronese grapes, harvested exclusively by hand in the second week of September. After a careful selection of the bunches, the grapes are transported to the drying fruit trees and laid in a single layer on racks, where a drying takes place which gives the grapes a thickness and a great organoleptic variety. After maceration, the must ferments at a controlled temperature of 18 ° C for about 50 days. The wine then ages in Slavonian oak barrels for about 6 years and for a further 12 months in bottle.

It is characterized by an intense red color, with garnet hues. The nose opens with aromas of plum, cherry and morello cherry, enriched with hints of dried fruit, green tea and licorice. On the palate it is fresh and soft, with unmistakable notes of red berry fruits, sweetened by vanilla aromas. Amarone has a perfect balance between acidity and tannic notes.

Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
