Description
The Amarone della Valpolicella Le Arche originates in the hilly landscape located at the foot of the Veronese pre-Alps, in the heart of the Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG.
It comes from a blend of Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara grapes, harvested by hand between the end of September and the beginning of October. After a drying of at least 4 months, the grapes ferment at a temperature of 18-22 °C, with maceration for 20 days. The wine obtained then ages in oak barriques for 18 months before being bottled.
This Amarone appears at the sight of concentrated ruby red colour with garnet reflections. The nose predominates hints of black fruit jam, embellished with hints of spices and candied orange. The mouth is of great structure and volume, with intense hints of ripe fruit, chocolate and coffee.
For its sensorial characteristics, this Amarone is enhanced by the combination with dishes with a strong and decisive flavour: it is ideal especially with game, both for fur and for feathers.
