Description

Amarone della Valpolicella I Saltari is grown in the Turano vineyard: an 8 hectare vineyard with vines having an average age of 50 years.

It is obtained from the traditional blend of autochthonous Veronese, Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Croatina grapes, harvested by hand in small boxes and left to dry for a period of about 3 months. The must ferments for a long time, for about 30-40 days, then the wine is transferred to cask and barrique where it ages for 25 months.

It has a dense and good intensity ruby red color in the glass. It displays a bouquet made of spicy notes, rhubarb, carob, but it convinces above all for a precious balsamic imprint. The taste is elegant, rightly tannic, enveloping and persistent.

He prefers stews, large game dishes and long-aged cheeses.
