Description

The Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva I Fondatori by Fabiano is made in limited quantities, from selected grapes from the classic area of Valpolicella.

The Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta grapes are harvested following a careful selection, dried and fermented at a controlled temperature for over 60 days in order to favour the extraction of the noblest parts of the grape. The mass is stored in steel for about 12 months, after which it is transferred to wooden barrels where it ages for 18 months. Further ageing of 3 months in bottle follows, prior to its release on the market.

Fabiano's Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva I Fondatori has an intense dark red colour, with violet reflections. On the nose, it releases sensual notes of red fruit jam and spices. On the palate it is majestic, powerful, with soft tannins and a fresh acidity that leaves room for a finish of remarkable persistence with notes of plum and cocoa.

Excellent in the company of venison and red meat steaks, it is excellent to combine with aged cheeses and dark chocolate.
