Description
The Amarone della Valpolicella Gran Passione is obtained from the Corvina Veronese and Rondinella vines grown in the heart of Valpolicella, an area highly suited to viticulture, protected by the Alpine chain from the northern winds whose generally cold temperature is mitigated by the sea.
The grapes are carefully selected and left to dry for about 3 months in ventilated rooms to concentrate sugars and aromas. This is followed by pressing of the bunches and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for approximately 30 days. The wine matures in oak barrels of various sizes for a period of 3 years, acquiring unique complexity and aromatic nuances.
It presents an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections in the glass. It is characterized by a rich and enveloping aroma, with notes of red fruit jam enriched with elegant spicy notes. On the palate it is full and velvety, complex and persistent.
Perfect in the company of stewed or grilled meats, but also with mature cheeses.
