Description
Allegrini's Amarone della Valpolicella La Groletta is born in vineyards located on the Venetian hills of Fumane, in the province of Verona.
It is made from Corvina Veronese and Rondinella grapes, harvested and selected only by hand in the second half of September. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 8-22 ° C for a duration of approximately 22-24 days. Subsequently, the wine ages for 5 months in the same containers, in wood for 15 months and in the bottle for the following 6 months.
It is distinguished by an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with pleasing aromas of red fruits, enriched with spicy notes of pepper, cloves and tobacco. On the palate it is full and enveloping, with a balanced acidity and pleasantly soft tannins.
Perfect to accompany dishes based on red meats, braised meats and game, this wine is ideal in combination with aged cheeses or as a meditation wine.
