Description
Sartori's Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Corte Brà is produced with Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta grapes from the historic vineyards of Valpolicella Classica, in particular from the Corte Brà estate. These vineyards, cultivated partly with the Veronese pergola system and partly with spurred cordon, benefit from full southern exposure and a calcareous clay soil rich in skeleton.
The grapes, harvested by hand, are placed in small boxes and left to dry for about three months in a fruit cellar. During this period, the weight of the grapes decreases by 30-40%. This is followed by destemming and soft pressing, with controlled fermentation. The wine then ages for five years in wooden barrels of various sizes and refines for at least six months in the bottle, reaching a perfect tannic and aromatic evolution.
Deep red in color with garnet hues, it offers a complex bouquet with notes of red fruit jam, spices, cherry, dried fruit and tobacco. On the palate it is powerful and elegant, with a refined and enveloping structure, capable of leaving a lasting impression.
This Amarone Riserva is perfect as a meditation wine and pairs beautifully with tasty meats, game and mature cheeses.
