Description
Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Reius by Sartori di Verona is produced with Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Croatina grapes, coming from the hilly vineyards of the Classica Valpolicella area, northwest of Verona. The calcareous marl soil of this area gives the wine great complexity and character.
After manual harvesting, the grapes are carefully selected and placed in crates for drying for about three months in dry and ventilated environments. Once the ideal drying has been achieved, the pressing and fermentation takes place, which lasts about 30 days in steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 12 months in cement and for 3 years in medium and large oak barrels, with a further 6 months of rest in the bottle.
It has an intense red color with garnet reflections. On the nose it releases enveloping aromas of spices, dried fruit and small red fruits. On the palate it is velvety, with a full and complex structure, characterized by a notable intensity and persistence.
Reius pairs perfectly with important dishes, game, grilled meats and spicy and mature cheeses.
