Description
The Amarone della Valpolicella from the Illasi winery, born in 1938 as "Enopolio within the Agricultural Consortiums", which became a cooperative in 1945 on the initiative of 15 members.
It is produced with Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes which, after drying for a few months, are vinified in thermo-controlled tanks. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for several months in wooden barrels, before being bottled.
It has a ruby red color, with purple reflections. The nose opens with intense aromas of ripe cherries and small red fruits, enriched with hints of chocolate. The sip is intense and warm, with good persistence.
Perfect to accompany grilled meats, roasts, game and mature cheeses.
