Description

The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva of Tenuta Santa Maria originates from the vineyards of Arbizzano di Negrar, in the Valpolicella Classica.

A selection of the best grapes of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone and Rondinella are harvested early at the end of September and left to dry on bamboo and wood arelle for 4-5 months in the ancient fruit rooms of the estate. Once the desired sugar concentration is reached, the grapes are pressed and the must fermented for about 25-30 days at a controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in oak barrels, after which it rests in the same containers for a period of about 5 years followed by aging in the bottle for at least 6 months.

It presents itself to the eye with a ruby red color with garnet reflections. The aromas that envelop the nose tell of sensations of cherry jam, dried rose and spicy spices. On the palate it is a wine of great structure, warm and soft, with velvety tannins and an elegant freshness.

On the table it finds its gastronomic consecration with roasts, game, braised meats and lamb. Try it with a Monte Veronese cheese.
