Description
The Amarone Classico della Valpolicella by Giuseppe Quintarelli was born in vineyards located in the municipality of Negrar, in the magical terroir of Valpolicella.
It is produced with Corvina, Rondinella, Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and grapes of other vines, harvested entirely by hand. After the harvest, the grapes are dried for about 120 days with the aim of reducing the water content and giving the wine sugars. Subsequently the wine ages in barrique for 72 months.
This Amarone is characterized by an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with a spicy bouquet of licorice and cocoa, enriched with pleasant fruity notes of cherry and plum. On the palate it is elegant and refined, with a pleasantly full and intense body. The wine has a fine persistence.
Perfect to accompany roasts and game, it is ideal in combination with stewed meats and aged cheeses.
