Description

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico by Farina is a noble and sumptuous wine, produced from selected grapes from the hills of San Pietro in Cariano. The main varieties include Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, grown on calcareous soils with gravelly outcrops.

The grapes are hand-picked and left to dry in small crates for about 90 days, during which they lose 40% of their weight. The vinification involves cold maceration and slow fermentation in stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged for 18 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and barriques, followed by further aging in cement and bottle, to develop a complex and balanced aromatic profile.

Ruby red in color with garnet reflections, the nose offers hints of cherry, black cherry and raspberry, enriched with spices, cocoa and balsamic notes. On the palate it is warm and full, with an important structure, well balanced and of great finesse.

It pairs perfectly with game, meat stews and mature cheeses, but can also be enjoyed on its own as a meditation wine, accompanied by artisanal chocolates.
