Description
The Amarone della Valpolicella Vintage Sartori Edition comes from vineyards located on hills north-east of the Verona area from calcareous-clayey soils.
It is obtained from a traditional blend of native Veronese grapes (Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and other vines). The grapes are harvested in small crates and left to dry for about 3 months in dry, well-ventilated rooms. The must ferments for a long time in steel for about 30 days, then it is transferred to concrete tanks to carry out the malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for about 3 years in oak barrels and remains to refine for a further 6 months in the bottle.
It has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose there are intense aromas of red fruit and spicy hints. In the mouth it is full and velvety, with a good persistence on the palate.
Ideal to serve in the company of recipes based on red meats, game and long-aged cheeses.
