Description
Amarone Classico della Valpolicella is produced by the Botter company, which since 1928 has dedicated itself to the production of iconic Italian wines.
Amarone is made from traditional Corvina and Rondinella grapes, which are dried in ventilated rooms for 3 months, and then vinified in temperature-controlled steel vats, where they are left to ferment for 30 days. Finally the wine is transferred to medium-large oak barrels for approx. 3 years.
In the glass the wine appears of an intense ruby color. The nose releases pleasant hints of red and black ripe fruit, with final hints of sweet spices. On the palate it is warm, with silky tannins and a long persistence.
Ideal with red or white meats, both grilled and roasted, as well as with aged cheeses. Amazing with the roast duck.
