Description

The Domini Veneti organic Amarone Docg is obtained from grapes coming from the Valpolicella Classica.

With vineyards located on dry terraces between 150 and 450 meters above sea level and on silt-clayey soils, the grapes are harvested manually between September and October to proceed with drying in the loft until January. The de-stemmed grapes are then pressed and fermented at a controlled temperature, macerating for 30 days. Manual punching down and malolactic fermentation precede the aging in 50 hl Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months and in bottle for 6-8 months.

Intense ruby red with garnet reflections, it releases hints of black cherries in alcohol, prunes and spices to the nose. On the palate there is structure and softness, smooth tannins and full body for a long and balanced finish.

Ideal wine for rich meat-based main courses such as game and grilled meats, braised meats and aged cheeses.
