Description

The Merlot by Tenuta J. Hofstätter is a refined and elegant red wine, resulting from a careful selection of grapes grown in clayey soils. This grape variety, among the most famous in the world, finds a rich and enveloping expression in South Tyrol, capable of combining structure and softness in perfect balance. Ideal for those seeking an intense, harmonious wine with great taste persistence.

The winemaking process involves destemming the grapes and fermentation for about ten days at controlled temperature, with continuous contact with the skins. Towards the end of fermentation, the temperature is allowed to rise to promote optimal extraction of color and aromas. This process gives the wine depth, roundness, and a well-defined tannic structure.

Of intense ruby red color, it presents a complex and enveloping bouquet, with predominant notes of ripe blackberries, underbrush, and elegant vinous character. On the palate, it stands out for its silky tannic structure, nicely balanced by pleasant freshness. The finish is long, persistent, and characterized by an elegance that enhances its great drinkability.

Perfect when paired with grilled red meats and structured main courses, enhancing the richness of flavors with its enveloping character.
