Description
This Extra Brut vintage sparkling wine comes from the marly and limestone soils of Rodello, a prestigious area of the Alta Langa. The Giribaldi company grows Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes and is also dedicated to the production of sparkling wines rigorously obtained with the classic method.
The grape harvest takes place manually at the end of August. After soft pressing, only the free-run must is used. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in steel vats for approximately 28 days. Subsequently, the wine remains in steel for a few months, during which weekly bâtonnage is carried out. In spring the draft is carried out, followed by aging on the yeasts for at least 30 months.
The wine has a bright gold color with fine and persistent perlage. The nose is elegant and intense, with mineral hints, dried fruit and honey. On the palate it is creamy, soft and tasty. It closes with a long citrus finish and great persistence.
It is excellent as an aperitif and goes beautifully with any meal.
