Description
The Alta Langa Vigna Gatinera Riserva 72 months by Fontanafredda, a Blanc de Noir Pas Dosé produced in the Serralunga d'Alba area exclusively with Pinot Noir grapes selected from the same plot. The vine grows on clayey soils and limestone sands with eastern exposure. The monocultivar blend guarantees an expressive purity of the vine and reflects the attention to quality and winemaking tradition of Piedmont
The winemaking follows traditional methods with a first fermentation which takes place partly in stainless steel at low temperature and partly in barriques, in the underground cellars, to preserve the delicate aromas and promote olfactory complexity. The long aging of 72 months on the yeasts follows the rules of the Classic Method Spumante, helping to develop the structure and the peculiar flavor nuances of this Reserve.
It reveals itself with a golden blonde color enriched with green reflections, a fine and persistent perlage which preludes an olfactory bouquet of white pulp fruit, such as peach and pear, enriched with notes of toasted dried fruit and fresh bread. On the palate, the typical structure of Pinot Noir blends with the softness of the foam and the lively acidity, to close with a long and spicy aftertaste.
This sparkling wine is ideal for a refined aperitif, or paired with white meats, but thanks to its strong personality it is also capable of elegantly accompanying the entire meal, offering a versatile and satisfying tasting experience.
