Description

Alta Langa Brut DOCG Limited Edition is a Classic Method Sparkling Wine produced by the Fontanafredda Winery with a blend of Pinot Nero and Chardonnay grapes. Made famous already in 1858 thanks to the direct involvement of King Vittorio Emanuele II, Fontanafredda remains an expression of territorial quality and expertise in the use of grape processing techniques.

Following the harvest in 20 kg crates, the grapes are softly pressed and, after fermentation, the wine remains in contact with the lees until spring. The realization from the cuvée precedes the start of a second fermentation in the bottle with aging on the lees for at least 30 months.

The result is a sparkling wine with a straw yellow color, with herbaceous and floral scents, followed by sweet notes of honey and ripe fruit. Enveloping on the palate, it expresses taste finesse and an overall very elegant mouth.

It gives its best served with raw seafood appetizers, it goes well with semi-aged cheeses and fish first courses.
