Description

The Riesling Rangen de Thann Clos St. Urbain Grand Cru of the Domaine Zind-Humbrecht is a Rhenish Riesling grown and vinified in Alsace. It comes from the vineyard located further south, on steep surfaces set among lush green hills and magical postcard landscapes.

It is composed of pure Riesling Renano, cultivated through biodynamic agriculture on dark colored volcanic soils. The grapes, harvested and softly pressed, ferment slowly in unroasted oak barrels by the action of indigenous yeasts. Stop on your own lees in the same containers for a few months.

From the straw yellow color a complex and intertwined perfume of fruity and spicy notes emerges: apricot, lychee, honey, white pepper and a hint of nutmeg, on a mineral and slightly smoked background. In the mouth it is fresh and sapid, with good softness and persistence.

Perfect with a plate of spaghetti with seafood flavored with ginger.
