Description
Riesling Turckheim is produced by the Domaine Zind-Humbrecht in Alsace, near the Turckheim area of the same name.
It is a Riesling Renano coming from 32-year-old vines, rooted in a soil rich in stones. Following the careful harvest, a fundamental phase in order to bring only the best quality to the cellar, the grapes are pressed and slowly fermented in large oak barrels, by the action of indigenous yeasts. A maturation phase follows within the same, with a variable duration of a few months according to the vintage.
Straw yellow in color. It opens, on the nose, in notes of peach, apricot and citrus, with rocky mineral hints and a herbaceous trace. In the mouth it is full-bodied, soft, in perfect balance between the sugary residue and the vivid freshness. It persists in a slightly citrus finish and a clear savory imprint.
Perfect to accompany a shellfish bisque.
