Description

The Aglianico del Vulture Superiore Serpara di Re Manfredi was born in the homonymous cru, known as the "place of the snakes" for its characteristic strong sun exposure which mitigates even the coldest periods of the year, located on hilly terrain of volcanic origin.

It is made entirely with Aglianico grapes, harvested between the last 10 days of October and early November. After a short maceration at low temperatures, fermentation takes place with natural yeasts at a temperature not exceeding 26 ° C. Then the wine ages in French Allier oak barrels for 18-24 months.

Intense garnet red in color, it brings to the nose a large bouquet composed of notes of vanilla, thyme and candied fruit. On the palate it proves powerful, warm and silky.

Ideal with red meats and aged cheeses, it is perfect with game.
