Description
Theodosius wine owes its name to a Byzantine emperor, a Basileus, which in ancient Greek means “king”, whose image, shown on a 5th century coin, then became the icon of the company.
Born from Aglianico grapes and volcanic, tufaceous and clayey soils, its vineyards grow in Barile: here, it ages for 10-12 months in French oak barrels.
It is a wine with a splendid minerality, ruby red in color with a tendency to violet. It envelops the nose with aromas of wild berries with a prevalence of plum and sour cherry. On the palate it is well balanced, full and persistent.
Due to its organoleptic profile it is the ideal companion for first courses of Mediterranean cuisine, for second courses based on red meat and game and for aged cheeses.
