Description

The Aglianico del Vulture of the Quarta Generazione winery was born in vineyards located in Macarico, in the province of Potenza, on the slopes of the extinct Vulture volcano.

It is produced with pure Aglianico grapes, harvested in small boxes at the beginning of November, so as to obtain a natural drying of the berry. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, followed by a second fermentation in wood which gives it olfactory complexity. Subsequently the wine ages on noble lees for 12 months, before being bottled.

Ruby red in color, the Aglianico del Vulture of the Quarta Generazione company opens to the nose with hints of fruit in alcohol and spicy notes of violet, cinnamon and black pepper. On the palate it is warm and full-bodied, with good structure and tannins, with a pleasantly persistent finish.

Perfect to accompany meat dishes, such as game, it is ideal in combination with red wine beef stew.
