Description

The Signature of Cantine del Notaio embodies the most typical essence of the Aglianico del Vulture vine, in all its austerity and grandeur.

It is obtained from the manual harvesting of the grapes in the first ten days of November, when the bunch is completely ripe. A 20-day maceration allows for the extraction of color and aromas but also an evolved tannin, characteristics that offer their best shape after a maturation of 12 months in French oak tonneaux and a further 12 months of aging in glass.

The color is ruby red with violet reflections, concentrated and impenetrable. The nose is broad and complex, with aromas of black berried fruits in jam and licorice that rest on a carpet of fenugreek, carob and spices. In the mouth it is powerful and harmonious, with well-smoothed tannins and a long and balsamic finish.

Perfect with game and braised meats, it perfectly matches a platter of aged cheeses.
