Luca Gardini
A majestic Aglianico, nose of wild strawberries and spices, intense on the palate: elegant, broad, crunchy, never excessive, with excellent persistence.

Description

Prominent and award-winning label of the Paternoster winery, Don Anselmo is an Aglianico del Vulture produced in memory of the founding grandfather and represents the symbol, history, roots and continuity of the family in Vulture. It originates from very old vines in the municipality of Barile, with naturally very low yields.

Traditional red vinification with maceration on the skins for 15 days at a controlled temperature of 25-28 °C. It ages half in Slavonian oak barrels and the other half in French barrique. The process is completed with the consequent ageing in bottle for a period of 12 months.

Deep and concentrated ruby red. It offers a wide and complex bouquet to the nose, made of blueberries and currants with hints of cocoa and leather. Dry and warm in the mouth, it is incredibly structured and elegant, very persistent.

Excellent in combination with red or meditation meats. Try it with lamb-based recipes.
