Description

King Manfredi's Aglianico del Vulture was born in vineyards located in the municipality of Maschito, in the province of Potenza.

It is produced exclusively with Aglianico del Vulture grapes, harvested entirely by hand around the first ten days of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, at a controlled temperature of 22 °C for 7–10 days. Subsequently, the wine ages in barriques for 10–12 months, before being bottled.

This Aglianico del Vulture is characterized by a deep ruby red colour. The nose opens with a large bouquet of cherries and candied fruit, enriched with pleasant notes of aromatic herbs and vanilla. On the palate it is powerful and imperious, with an elegant and warm spice base. The wine has a marked flavour.

Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
