Description
The Balsamic Vinegar of Modena 5 Gold Medals belongs to the Historical Collection of the Acetaia Giusti, with labels whose design dates back to the early 1900s that reflect the awards obtained up to that time with the style of the time. The collection includes a series of balsamic vinegars classified with a progressive number of medals, selected from those obtained in the Universal Expositions of the end of the 19th century.
Also called Banda Rossa for being one of the leading products of the vinegar factory, it was the gift that the founder Giuseppe Giusti reserved for members of his family. Composed of cooked grape must to which already aged balsamic vinegar is added, which in turn ages in batteries of ancient barrels dating back to 1700-1800. The withdrawal is limited to a small amount only once a year.
It is characterized by a brown color, animated by a scent of plum and black cherries, in which a sweet spiciness is given by the ancient precious woods in which it was aged. Sip with great body and thickness but also complex and rich from an aromatic point of view.
Indicated on fresh pasta, risotto and cut of meat, it can also be used with aged cheeses and ice creams.
