Description
The rum El Dorado 21 Years is a rum of the highest quality, produced by Demerara Distillers, whose history begins in 1670, along the Rio del Demerara, one of the longest rivers in the world and responsible for the flourishing growth of one of the best sugar internationally. This distillate is made from rums that stand in oak barrels for at least 21 years.
Distilled in wooden Coffey column (ex Enmore), Coffey column (Diamond) and French Savalle column (ex Uitvlugt), aged in ex bourbon barrels
In the glass it stands out for its pleasant bronze color, and caresses the nose with hints of chestnut honey and a presence of demerara, which evolve with tropical fruit and spices. The wood blends with a caramel substrate as you smell it! On the palate it is rich and dense, very full-bodied and of great structure. Enveloping and warm, it begins with a woody scent and then gives way to the return of caramel, with a rich presence of spices in the background, combined with a massive presence of ripe fruit accompanied by toasted fruit. There is also a note of coffee and chocolate. Extremely complex and persuasive., With a very long, practically infinite finish.
