Description

Viking Scars Scotch whiskey, literally Viking scars, is a single malt whiskey aged 10 years in ex-Sherry casks from the Highland Park distillery, located in the Orkney Islands, or Orkney. The name is a clear reference to the foundation of the same distillery, in 1798, by Magnus Eunson, a direct descendant of the Viking pioneers who settled in the archipelago. Highland Park is located on a hill near Kirkwall, on the island of Mainland, capital of the Orkney Islands, in a remote place in the north of Scotland that is characterized by a particularly fragrant peat.

It presents itself to the eye with a golden yellow color. The nose is a delight of notes of sea peat, heather, vanilla and citrus. In the mouth it is soft and spicy, with returns of peat and vanilla enriched by pleasant hints of honey.

Great to sip after dinner during a conversation between friends.
