Pomerol
Pomerol AOC appellation is located in Bordeaux, in the Libournais area, on the right bank of the Gironde. It is famous for its great reds, in particular products with merlot: among all we remember the famous Petrus, one of the rarest and most expensive wines in the world.
Although not included in the 1855 Grand Cru Classes, the reputation of the Pomerol AOC appellation is extraordinary. The vineyards cover a total area of about 770 hectares, cultivated almost exclusively in Merlot. The wines are elegant, large, complex with subtle tannins. With ageing they reach peaks of great finesse and harmony.
